bulldog recommends: December 2018

Dance in the new year.

It’s that time of year. Decorations are being packed up. Suddenly, there aren’t that many cookies hanging out on your kitchen counter. Your house has gotten quieter as loved ones leave to return to their normal routine. You probably have to go back to work (ugh). And that silence? What is that silence?

It’s the sudden absence of festive holiday music, bulldoggers.

The upbeat strains of “Jingle Bells” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” are no longer coming through your go-to radio stations, and they’re not being piped into the speakers at the grocery store.

The aftermath of the holiday season can be one of mixed emotions. It’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to all the jolliness, but it’s kind of nice to get back into your usual schedule… and it’s especially nice to phase out those holiday tunes. Let’s be honest — even if you’re a fan of them, you’re probably ready to retire them by this point, especially since you know they’re going to come back in another ten months or so.

You have a clean musical slate heading into the new year, and we want to help you fill it with some of the jams we’ve been loving lately. It’s been a while — too long, really — since we hit you with our musical recommendations, but we’re back with another round of ten favorites that we feel confident will help you ring in 2019 in the best possible way. (And remember: you can check out all of our bulldog playlists on our Spotify channel.)
